Instagram Edits and Meta AI are back with a new feature, and this time, it’s all about video editing. Both platforms have announced a new smart AI tool that lets you edit any of your short videos using preset text prompts.
In a new newsroom post, Meta AI has announced a new AI-powered video editing feature in collaboration with Instagram Edits. You can now use over 50 Pre-built AI prompts to edit or transform 10-second video clips into artistic, futuristic, or truly unique creations. You can also change your outfit, adjust the lighting, or even turn a bright, sunny day into a rainy one.

Once your mini-masterpiece is ready, you can share it on Facebook, Instagram, or Meta AI’s Discover feed. It’s a great way to edit your short videos without being an editing expert. No complicated tools or editing skills required – just a few taps and you’re done.
For now, the feature is only available to users in the United States through the Meta AI and Edits apps. Unfortunately, the rest of us will have to wait a little longer. There is no official word for a global rollout.
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri also shared a Reels video highlighting the new feature, which is currently called “restyle” in the Edit app. He also mentioned that it could be rolled out to Instagram as well, which means your Reels could soon go from basic to awesome with just a single tap.
So, if you are tired of boring videos and want to look like a marble statue, a comic book hero, or a futuristic avatar in less than a minute, Meta has made it possible.
