Fortnite Trick Lets You Get the Free Delulu Glider Without Winning

If you’ve recently played the new Delulu mode in Fortnite, you’ll know how exciting and fun it is. With its proximity chat and unexpected alliances, this limited-time mode has quickly become a fan favorite. But here’s the real kicker: you don’t actually need to win a match to unlock the exclusive Duos Crashbrella glider. Yes, players are using a simple trick to get it for free.

I tried it myself last night, after seeing the discussion on Twitter and some threads on Reddit. To be honest? Unlocking a victory item without actually winning felt a bit strange – but hey, free rewards are free rewards.

The Trick That’s Spreading Everywhere

The Crashbrella glider was supposed to be awarded as a reward for winning in the Delulu mode, but some Fortnite players, such as Llamalaxy, revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that there are two ways to easily obtain the “Crashbrella glider” without even winning in Creative Royale.

Here are both the tricks explained in detail:

Method 1

1. First, team up with a player in-game.
2. Walk closer to a player and invite them to your team.
3. Immediately leave their team, and then let them invite you back.
4. Once you’re back in, jump from a high spot to get knocked (DBNO).
5. Instead of waiting to be revived, press the “Give Up” button.

From there, spectate the full game. If you’re spectating immediately, it means this method worked. However, if the placement screen appears, it means you need to try again.

Method 2

Some players have also tested a slightly different version of this method. This method is easier if you already have a teammate in your party:

The second method is pretty similar to the first one, but this time you’ll need a friend. Start by joining their party in the lobby while you are at the same party. Then, leave their party while in the same lobby, and then ask them to invite you back.

When you both load into the match, head to a high spot, jump down to knock yourself (DBNO), and hit Give Up right away. If the game puts you into spectator mode immediately, that means it worked! If not, no worries — just try the same steps again until it does.

Step 1: Invite someone to your team (in-game)
Step 2: Leave the team
Step 3: Have someone invite you back to their team (can be the same one you left)

There are several different ways to do this, but the basic principle remains the same: you need to eliminate yourself and click ‘Give Up’ so that the game takes you directly to spectator mode instead of showing your placement. If this happens, stay in spectator mode until the match ends, and the Crashbrella glider will be unlocked for you.
