WhatsApp regularly adds new features to its application, and this time, WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow you to set your favorite contacts for quick calling. The feature is currently available in the beta version of WhatsApp for iOS 24.3.10.70, and it is expected to roll out to the stable version soon.

According to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks all applications and tech updates, reveals that the feature will let users pin up to four contacts on the top of their call tab. This way, users can easily access their most frequently called contacts without scrolling through the list. Users can also rearrange or remove the pinned contacts as per their preference.

As you can see in the screenshot below, you can search for contacts and include them in your favorites list. These contacts will probably appear at the top of the Calls tab.

How To Use “Whatsapp Quick Calling” Feature

To use the feature, you need to tap and hold on a contact in the Call tab, and then select the “Pin” option from the menu. Then, the pinned contact will appear with a star icon at the top of the call tab. You can also swipe left on a pinned contact to unpin or delete it.

This Quick calling feature is likely to be useful for users who frequently make voice or video calls. This will also help users save some time and taps, as they won’t have to search for their favorite contacts every time they want to make a call.

WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.3.10.70 is available to download from TestFlight, Apple’s platform for testing beta apps. If you want to try out the feature, you will need to enroll in the WhatsApp Beta program, which has limited slots. Alternatively, you can wait for this feature to be released in the stable version of WhatsApp, which may take some time.

WhatsApp is constantly working on improving its application. Recently, WhatsApp added the feature to change the theme color of the app and also the pin message feature, which will allow you to pin messages on top of chat.
